The Role
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to enhance our business intelligence system and help us make better data driven decisions. You will work alongside the data team and report directly to an engineering manager. You will analyze data and extract insights from various data sources by performing data modeling and implementing data visualization techniques.You are comfortable analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns and designing business intelligence solutions. The right candidate should have a strong understanding of business analytics, data visualization, cross department reporting needs, enable strong recommendations and provide actionable insights.
Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing enterprise-wide data analysis and reporting solutions
  • Present information using data visualization techniques
  • Reviewing and analyzing data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Identify valuable data sources
  • Learning and fully understanding the data landscape in databases and applications
  • Establish procedures for data sharing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicating analysis results and making recommendations to senior management
  • Collaborate regularly with various departments and staff members, including the engineering, product, sales, marketing and customer service teams
  • Analyze data for market patterns and trends
  • Apply problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, organizational, design and interpersonal skills in the context of a multifaceted and fast-moving project
  • Act and react quickly to changing organizational needs.
  • Develop regular and ad hoc analyses rooted in drawing out insights and optimization
  • Provide quality assurance of data on an ongoing basis, identifying and correcting inaccuracies

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or relevant field
  • 2+ Experience as a BI Analyst, Data Scientist or similar role
  • 2+ years experience in at a BI visualization tool
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience writing complex queries
  • Familiarity with coding languages like Python, or R
  • Experience implementing and maintaining business intelligence tools
  • Keen eye for developing insightful data visualization and passion for data storytelling
  • Experience with Database development and structure
  • Ability to clearly explain technical ideas verbally and in writing
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a number of concurrent projects
  • Highly analytical and critical thinker, with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision
  • Experience handling SOC2 compliant data and able to ensure the integrity of data

Salary: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
